Conflict Management and the Performance of School Administrators in Plaibang Sub-districrt, Nonthaburi

Abstract The purpose of this thesis was to study and compare the conflict management of the school administrators in Plaibang Sub-district, Nonthaburi, divided by gender, educational level, job positions, and work experience. The samples of this study, chosen using stratified sampling, were 75 school administrators from 7 schools in Plaibang Sub-district, Nonthaburi. A level 5 rating scale questionnaire with the reliability value of 0.94 was used as a research tool. The data were analyzed by average, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The results show that conflict management of school administrators in Plaibang Sub-district, Nonthaburi, was generally at a high level. The first method used for conflict management was accommodation. The second were the collaboration and avoidance. The last methods used were compromise and competition. In comparison, differences in gender, educational level, job position, and work experience did not affect the choice of conflict management solutions.
